CHANEL 8 STRAND PURPLE GRIPOIX CHOKER NECKLACE
Rare one of a kind piece of wearable art that is a creation between the House of CHANEL & The House of Gripoix. Designed during (c90's) Lagerfeld's years when HOG was still owned by the Gripoix family. The relationship within the two Houses began during Mademoiselle Chanel's era... Glass was hand poured and a technique created so the glass would look natural in shape, hence the perfectly imperfect baroque shapes of the purple 'pearls' or beads. This stunning necklace has eight strands, hand strung with black silk and tied off individually between each one. Back of necklace is the showstopper with ornate gold designs that attach the strands together. It is quite simply, magnifique'! Stacked, the 8 strands measure 2&1/2" in height, however, they fall organically on the neck. Hook for closure with length measuring 13&1/2" and up to 15&1/2" with extension chain.
