Product Description

What a find! Stunning gripoix beads, all in oval shape, in colors of sea glass. Three sizes with each of the largest beads dangling separately on a single loop. The House of Gripoix was known for high quality poured glass stones and a young Coco Chanel collaborated directly with Suzanne Gripoix on designs. This gorgeous piece is supremely rare and dates early 1950's. During that time, CHANEL fashion jewelry was sold as an accessory to clothing and bore no signature or date. Each transparent bead is wrapped in a delicate gold braided pattern with the medium stone surrounded by two smaller stones and a larger one in between each patterned set. Can be worn a multitude of ways and wrapped up to three times around the neck. Measures 59" in length. It is, without a doubt, one of the most fabulous pieces I have ever had the fortune to offer.

Excellent tres' vintage condition
